Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th February 2020
|It’s never too late for a Valentine’s Party with other single Christians. Medway is a short distance away from the sea and the medieval city of Rochester. Our venue YHA Medway was formerly a traditional Oast House which has been fully renovated to provide modern, comfortable accommodation for up to 52 people.
We have sole use of the hostel.
Due to popular request we have booked the hostel for an additional day again. We have been able to keep the prices for twin, triple and dorm rooms similar to last years prices so that those who cannot get to the venue before Friday evening do not overpay.
Capstone Farm Country Park opposite, offers plenty of outdoor entertainment including
mountain bike trails as well as walks . We hope to do a short night walk in the moonlight.
There are walks in the local area and places of interest to visit such as:
Leeds Castle is within easy travelling distance
Less than 150 yards from our accommodation is the biggest dry Ski slope and snowboard centre in Europe , a good opportunity to practice your skiing techniques.
Facilities: There is a comfortable lounge next to the Dining area. A large study provides an additional, flexible space big enough to hold dances. There is a payphone, central heating, a TV/video/DVD player, a garden and good parking facilities.
Evenings: Being a Christian group we have a visiting speaker. There are several other evening activities such as quizzes , dance workshops and team games planned with different things each evening. Participation is your prerogative.
With what is in effect three common areas for single Christians to mingle, we should be able to run several activities each night and even have a room to just hang/chill out.
We also plan a ‘Dress to Impress’ evening meal with an opportunity to maximise socialising during the meal.
As is usual for our weekends we do not plan to fill every bed so that people have more space to spread out.
Prices on and before 31st January 2020:
We will also be reserving two rooms (one for gentlemen and one for ladies) as ‘dorm’ rooms for budget accommodation at £59 (upper bunk) and £65 for a lower bunk place.
Prices for places on and after 1st February 2020:
If you require a single room please book soon. Places will be allocated on a ‘first come – first served’ basis.
